I’m sick of studying for stupid tests

And doing homework, the number one pest

I’m sick of reading text books from dusk till dawn

And always getting the answers wrong

I’m sick of seeing more hand-outs to use

And assignments that I can’t refuse

I’m sick of projects that are due soon

And things that occupy my weekend afternoon

I’m sick of listening to boring lessons

And other stuff that we’d be having tests on

I’m sick of spending weekends on my desk

And not outside or getting more rest

I’m sick of deadlines that we have to meet

And the things that cause my lack of sleep

I’m sick of having to re-do my work before the setting of the sun

And memorizing terms I won’t need when school is done

I’m terribly sick.

So, please understand.

I can’t go to school.

Not today. Not again!
